STRUCTURE OF THE MAN SMART HYBRID EXPERIENCE
DIESEL ENGINE
Available series are D2862 (V12), D2868 (V8) or D2676 (in-line six-cylinder) with outputs ranging from 290 kW (394 HP) to 1,471 kW (2,000 HP).
CLUTCH
Separates the diesel engine from the e-motor/alternator unit and increases comfort – shifting during operation is possible without interrupting power.
E-MOTOR/ALTERNATOR UNIT
The electric motor generator unit can produce a rated power of 184 kW or 368 kW, at an efficiency rating of up to 96 percent.
GEARBOX
Numerous gear configurations such as V-Drive, IV-Drive, Parallel Gear and Down Angle are possible.
SCALABLE POWER THROUGH MODULAR CONCEPT
